In collaboration with Kerstin Höger Architekten and Urban Catalyst
Competition proposal for a new urban development in Backnang, Germany. Compact urban blocks with a meandering landscape of green structures, streets and urban spaces. Et al. was resonsible for a concept for housing. We proposed flexible post-and-beam structures to accommodate various configurations – mixing offices, apartments and larger collectives within the same framework. The structural concept allows for a range of plan layouts. The plans are rational and efficient, yet the spaces are generous and open.
