"Temporary Water Fountain" is the second installation in the series of stone gardens, designed and built by Studio Et al. on the occasion of Copenhagen Fashion Week for the Norwegian clothing brand Livid. The installation was later shown during Oslo Art Week / Oslo Runway.

The fountain consists of a basin made from lightweight concrete blocks and waterproof bathroom membrane, with a fountain pump that draws water through a stainless steel pipe in a continuous, endless loop.

The installation is built from standardized and reused construction materials. These materials are taken out of their usual context—hidden behind plaster, under tiles, or in industrial environments—and elevated into a water sculpture. The project is circular and makes use of recycled materials. No glue or welding has been used to assemble the structure, and the materials (steel pipes, grates, bricks) can be disassembled and reused in other ways. The installation is at once both light and heavy, timeless and temporary.
